Projects
Orphanages
There are several orphanages By Provision works with in the Central Valley. They all need people to love and play with children, help cleaning, do laundry, and some constructions projects. All of them need linens and clothing all the time.
BIBLE PROJECT
This is a YWAM ministry with the
goal of delivering a Bible to every home in Costa Rica. It’s partnering with a
local church in a door to door prayer ministry handing out God’s word to the

additional fun event on Saturday to get
new people to visit the church, establish relationships, and encourage those
who are saved to begin discipleship.

If you have a team member that plays guitar or other instrument, please bring it. Email lyrics to the songs to By Provision so copies can be made ahead of time. Also bring markers to make posters with words to the songs you wish to teach. Please include pictures to make it easier to “read”, most people are illiterate. Once in Costa Rica, purchase large poster board to print the words to the songs you wish to teach. Songs are more readily learned if they have motions to go with them. This is true for adult learners also. In Costa Rica choreography or movement of some sort to accompany songs is expected. Teach the songs in English. A translator can be provided to make sure everyone knows what they are signing. Translators must be paid ($50 USD per day/per translator).By Provision will arrange for a church location for a nominal fee. If the team wants to work with a particular age group or knowledge level, let us know. Children are available every afternoon. Most parents are available at night.
A fun way to teach English is to have an evangelistic craft project (Good News bracelets/painter’s hats/necklaces). Have the participants memorize the verses in English. They are quick oral learners!
